New Elements Added to Indy Ultimate Adventure Race
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Ultimate, an urban adventure race in downtown Indianapolis, will feature new elements in the second-annual running of the event. The Indiana Sports Corp event will showcase the city’s most iconic sports, military and cultural venues while winding through downtown over the course of seven miles. The Central Indiana Community Foundation returns as the presenting sponsor of the race set for Saturday, June 24.

Indiana Sports Corp presented the 2016 Pathfinder Award to Indiana Fever’s Tamika Catchings and CBS Sports studio analyst Clark Kellogg. The Pathfinder Award, annually given since 1988 by Indiana Sports Corp, honors individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of America’s youth. These champions for America’s youth were recognized at the Indiana Roof Ballroom during a luncheon on Friday, November 4, 2016.
2016 Hoosier Olympians to be honored by State of Indiana
Indiana Olympians, who competed in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, will be honored at the Indianapolis Colts season opener on September 11. The State of Indiana, along with the Indiana Olympians Association, Indiana Sports Corp and the Indianapolis Colts, will celebrate the Team USA members on the field during halftime of the Colts contest against the visiting Detroit Lions. Prior the game, Lt. Governor Eric Holcomb will recognize the Olympians at a private reception at Lucas Oil Stadium.

U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Diving back in Indianapolis
2012 Olympic gold medalist David Boudia of Noblesville/Purdue University and his 10-meter platform synchronized diving partner Steele Johnson of Carmel/Purdue are among 112 divers currently eligible to compete at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Diving at the IU Natatorium on the IUPUI campus June 18-26.
Indiana Sports Corp awards 2016 CHAMPS Grants
The Indiana Sports Corporation has selected 19 youth-serving organizations as recipients of the 2016 Susan Williams CHAMPS Grants. These organizations provide sports opportunities for children in 54 counties throughout Indiana and serve nearly 4,600 youngsters.
