Indiana Sports Corp is committed to providing an internship experience that will acquaint students/recent graduates with the working environment of the sports industry, while providing them with hands-on experiences in sporting event management and promotion.
Types of Internships
A variety of internships are offered by Indiana Sports Corp. Current internships are full-time and part-time. Each internship differs and the time commitment will be agreed upon with the individual supervisor. For those candidates only available part-time, the application will ask for your availability on a typical week. All internships are unpaid.
Event Operations (Positions available in Spring, Summer, Fall)
Planning and coordination of sporting events. Event departments include National Events and Youthlinks Indiana Charity Golf Tournament. Duties include: event operations and administration, logistics, participant services, registration, database entry, volunteer recruitment and management, hospitality, meeting planning, vendor orders and general support.
Communications (Positions available in Spring, Summer, Fall)
Assist with communications efforts for Indiana Sports Corp and its events by performing such duties as writing press releases, conducting follow-up with media, contributing to social media presence, web site and e-mail blasts. Additional responsibilities include assisting with grass-roots marketing efforts, media operations for Indiana Sports Corp events, and writing and editing Indiana Sports Corp publications and event materials.
Business Development (Positions available in Spring, Summer, Fall)
Participate in the planning, coordination and implementation of development, marketing, promotional and fund-raising activities for Indiana Sports Corp and its events. Duties include prospect research, database entry, membership solicitation and membership fulfillment.
Tickets/Promotions (Positions available in Spring, Summer, Fall)
Participate in the planning, coordination and implementation of promotions and ticket operations for Indiana Sports Corp and its events. Duties include travel, promotional booth set-up, coordinating group promotions and ticket distribution, and fulfillment.
Accounting (Positions available in Spring, Summer, Fall)
Assist with daily financial tasks and provide financial support for cash operations during Indiana Sports Corp events. The internship experience will include payables processing and accounts receivable management.
Sports Indiana (Positions available in Spring, Summer, Fall)
Assist with daily operations for Sports Indiana Incorporated, and its partners. Duties may include: website operation, contribution to social media presence, internal/external communications, research projects, assistance in marketing strategies, attendance and organization of board and committee meetings, and other responsibilities as assigned. Experience with marketing and desktop publishing programs is highly desirable. This position will also contribute on-site support to Indiana Sports Corp events during this timeframe.
Youth Programs (Positions available in Spring, Fall)
Planning and coordinating youth events in conjunction with events hosted by Indiana Sports Corp. (NCAA, Big Ten, Olympic, World Championship Events). Duties include event operations and administration, logistics, database entry (Salesforce), Geared For Health warehouse logistics, grassroots marketing efforts and more.
Any student who has recently graduated from an accredited college or university or any student who is currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited graduate school.
Any undergraduate student who is currently enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university.
- Spring Internship: January - May
- Summer Internship: May - August
- Fall Internship: August - December
Actual start/end dates vary according to our event schedule and will be agreed upon during the hiring process. Please indicate your availability on your internship application.

Internship Application Process
All applicants must complete the online internship (see application link above), submit resume, submit unofficial school transcripts and submit signed notice regarding consumer report (see link above) in order to be considered for an internship with ISC. The resume, unofficial college transcripts and signed notice regarding consumer report can be uploaded directly to the online application.
Applicants will receive a confirmation email after all required documents are received. Selected applicants will be contacted and interviewed by department directors. Interviews will take place at Indiana Sports Corp in Indianapolis.
