INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA and its partners at Indiana Sports Corp are launching the Final Four marketing campaign and vehicle, the Fan Jam, starting early next week. The Fan Jam will travel statewide to unite and uplift Indiana communities through the excitement of the 2021 Final Four in Indianapolis.

“Through interactive basketball-themed drive-thrus, promotions, and pop-up events, the Fan Jam will help spread awareness, enthusiasm, and overall support for the Final Four and local communities throughout Indiana during the entire basketball season and into March Madness,” said JoAn Scott, managing director of the NCAA Division I men’s basketball championship.

The official start of the Fan Jam features a drive-thru giveaway in downtown Indianapolis on Monument Circle from 7-10 a.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 13). The first 1,000 fans will receive a 2021 Final Four commemorative poster, buff headwear, hand sanitizer and phone wallet. The drive-thru will reiterate the importance of health and safety as the NCAA and Indiana Sports Corp work to create fan-friendly events. Items will only be distributed to fans inside of vehicles; no walk-up will be permitted as staff will follow all current health guidelines related to COVID-19.

Because of the cancellations caused by COVID-19, thousands of 2020 NCAA Men’s and Women’s March Madness and Final Four items went unused and are available for distribution. To align with the goal of uplifting the community, the Fan Jam will distribute these items to organizations in need, especially around the winter months. Indiana Sports Corp staff will work with community partners to determine opportunities and receiving organizations.

The Fan Jam vehicle will travel across Indiana visiting neighborhoods, youth, essential workers, NCAA Corporate Champions & Partners, hospitality workers, and students from all grade levels, including at K-12 schools and Indiana colleges and universities.
