INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Sports Corp announced on Monday that the International School of Indiana will be the permanent home of the replica Eiffel Tower, the symbol of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming presented by Lilly hosted in Indianapolis.

The 14,000-pound, 66-foot, replica Eiffel Tower was originally constructed by Indiana Sports Corp, F.A. Wilhelm Construction, and the Latinas Welding Guild. The tower was placed on Georgia Street and Capitol Avenue connecting the 2024 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in Indianapolis to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

“The Olympic Movement and the mission of ISI align in a shared commitment to fostering global citizenship and leadership through education,” said Head of School Elizabeth Head. “As the only school in the Midwest with our unique mission and that provides language immersion in French, Spanish, and Mandarin, ISI believes there is no better permanent home for this beautiful work of art than our campus. We are excited to bring this piece back to life and continue caring for it for years to come!”

"The replica Eiffel Tower is a reminder of the pride, energy, and excitement that the record-breaking Olympic Trials brought to our community," said Indiana Sports Corp President Patrick Talty. "We’re proud to partner with the International School of Indiana to ensure that legacy lives on for years to come."

The replica Eiffel Tower was the landmark for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming in Indianapolis. It marked the first time that the event was held inside of an NFL stadium at Lucas Oil Stadium and broke numerous attendance and revenue records. The meet welcomed over 285,000 fans, more than a 60 percent increase from the previous total attendance record at the Olympic Swimming Trials. Record attendance was also seen at fan experiences outside of the meet at Toyota Aqua Zone inside the Indiana Convention Center and USA Swimming Live presented by Purdue University on Georgia Street.

The donation of the replica Eiffel Tower to the International School of Indiana is made possible by Indiana Sports Corp, F.A. Wilhelm Construction, Schmidt and Associates, and Energy Harness, who are supporting the installation efforts of the tower.

Plans for the permanent installation of the replica Eiffel Tower will be announced at a later date.
